CHAIR FLETCHER & COUNTY SUPES VOTE TO ADOPT NEW ANALYSIS DURING ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW OF DEVELOPMENTS

09/28/22

Chair Nathan Fletcher and the San Diego County Board of Supervisors voted today to update the County’s Transportation Study Guide (TSG) to mitigate traffic impacts for new developments in the unincorporated areas pursuant to Senate Bill (SB) 743 and make changes to CEQA and Fire Protection Guidelines.

After today’s vote Chair Fletcher issued the following statement: “The Board of Supervisors recognizes the very real need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with State law, but also our very real need to create new homes. The balance proposed in the Transportation Study Guide adopted by the Board today represents a rethinking of our land use patterns to prioritize infill development, connections to transit, and addressing climate change - while at the same time building more homes in the unincorporated area.”
