Local leaders tout benefits of federal infrastructure bill
America’s crumbling infrastructure could soon see major improvements. A $1.2 trillion infrastructure package was signed Monday by President Joe Biden.
The bipartisan bill includes money for roads, bridges, transportation, clean drinking water, access to high-speed internet and more.
County Board of Supervisors Chair Nathan Fletcher said he’s ready to see major projects that will create jobs.
“These are good jobs and we are building the foundation upon which we live," he said. "I think this is the right thing to invest in. We just want to get the funds here, we want to get them on the ground, start working and improve their lives."
