CHAIR NATHAN FLETCHER FEATURED SPEAKER FOR WHITE HOUSE PANEL ON HOUSING, LAND USE
Nathan Fletcher, Chair of the San Diego County Board of Supervisors, participated Friday morning in a panel hosted by the White House about “Reducing Land Use and Zoning Restrictions.”
Chair Fletcher’s portion of the virtual panel focused on local initiatives to increase the supply of housing and loosen restrictions, and make it more affordable for working families to find affordable housing options.
“I am excited that President Biden and his team are reaching into communities like San Diego to learn more about the challenges we’re facing with housing and land use,” said Chair Fletcher. “It is helpful to counties and cities that the Administration is thinking creatively about ways to help us loosen zoning restrictions and increase the affordable housing stock. I look forward to being involved in more discussions with the White House and working with leaders across our nation to identify new solutions.”
