County to Kill Weeds without Using Harmful Toxins
Today, the County Board of Supervisors voted in favor of a policy introduced by Supervisors Nathan Fletcher and Dianne Jacob to prohibit the County from using chemicals containing glyphosate, a chemical linked to rare cancers at County-owned and maintained properties. Here is Supervisor Fletcher’s reaction:
We are taking action to protect the public and our planet from the dangers of harmful toxins like glyphosate, a chemical found in products like Roundup. I am pleased the Board supported moving forward in this effort.
